2009 - current Seion Chapel 'A 150 Years'
Delivering textile-based workshops to make eight wall-hangings that depict 150 years of the history of Seion Chapel
Cwmaman.

2008 - 2009 'The Orrery' Cwmamamn Miners Institute
Worked alongside Artist / Sculptor Rubin Eynon to deliver workshops to children aged 14 to 18 years to engrave
designs into plaster stars ready to becoated in bronze to be added to Rubin's Clockwork design inspired by
the poem 'Shadows' by Cwmaman poet Alun Lewis'
2008 - current Tutor for Worker's Education Authority
Teaching Arts and Crafts in the community at Cwmaman Institute, in addition writing the course requirements and
paperwork that is required to deliver sessions to achieve course specifications for OCN.
2008 - 2009 Welsh Woman of the Year 2008 - 2009
Won the title 'Most effective returner to the workplace' which was sponsored by Chwarae Teg.

A consultancy, which provides a full range of services to the small business and community groups.
2008 - current Artage at Cwmaman Institute
Teaching art every Monday morning, from 10am until 12am in the Concert
Room. Lesson's include: various art processes and techniques, drawing and painting skills.

2007 - current Services in the community
An art and craft-based service from workshops to education to suit any age; workshops include:
Knitting / crochet / painting / drawing / digital photography / fashion design / contemporary textiles /
environmental art / recycled art / fabric art.
2001 – current Su Worlock Contemporary Textiles Design
Su Worlock, is a small design business that is run from home. It has five labels such as: nutski
Contemporary Textiles and Fashion produces soft furnishings. Little Petal accessories for little girls.
Zero Lee pet wear and Bizarre Dragonz, which, produces alternative clothing and accessories for all ages.
These labels currently supply to small outlets around Wales.
2007 - 2008 Art Class @ Cwmaman Institute
Teaching ONC art every Monday morning [term time only] from 10am until 12am in the Concert
Room. Lesson's include: various art processes and techniques, drawing and painting skills.
This project is funded by Workers' Education Association
2007 – current Recycled Teenagers Craft & Arts group
Tutor for the Recycled Teenagers, which meet every Tuesday morning at Cwrt Allan Lewis.
Up-to-date the ladies have exhibited their work at the Senedd the Welsh Assembly building in Cardiff Bay,
on the V&A website and at the Defining Kelly Jones [Stereophonics] exhibition.
2007 The Big Draw
Hosted The Big Draw at Cwmaman Institute. Participants were invited to create insects using recycled media,
and drawing. The chosen theme was 'Enchanted Garden.'
The results were included in a short animation film, with a soundtrack written by a local musician.
2007 ECO / ART Project
Written and teaching environmental / art, which involved working with three local schools to
promote Eco Schools status.
This includes an exterior mural, a mosaic, and sculptures using recycled media, in addition lessons
promote the importance of recylcling, water and energy conservation, nature, and litter and waste
minimisation.
In addition, two people were trained in delivering this subject to children from ages 3 - 11 years.

2007 Acetate Project, Past Present and Future
The Acetate Project involves a series of workshops involving children painting directly onto acetate using
Cwmaman Institute as their inspiration. In addition it also involves the knitting, sewing, crochet group and
the art class.
In addition two people were trained in delivering art workshops to all ages.

2006 Community Artist
Artist in residence for Cwmaman, Communities 1st and Creative Communities, Rhondda Cynon Taff.
This involved, tutor for weekly Cwmaman Christmas Crafts group, visiting Artist at Glynhafod
Junior School and Cwmaman Infants School.

2006 The Big Draw
Hosted The Big Draw at Cwmaman Institute. Participants were invited to help expand the definitions and
uses of drawing - experimenting with pencils, crayons, charcoal, digital imagery, and drawing with yarn.
The results were included in a short animation film, with the soundtrack written by a local band.
2006 V & A
Joined the V & A knitting database, where my knitted designs can be veiwed via the V & A website.
2005 Summer Art Project @ Cwmaman Institute
The objective of his 2-week project was to produce art for Cwmaman Institute involving the community.
I wrote a brief about ‘Our Environment’ and designed one-day workshops that best suited all ages and
met the aims and objectives of the brief. Workshops included: knitting, painting, drawing with twigs,
Shibori, using the environment as a canvas using digital photography, weaving, collage and tufting.
Thus resulted with artwork on permanent display around the Institute.
2003 Indigo [Paris]
Designed a range of fashion and textile knitted samples for the 'Creative textile design exhibition'.
2002 Glamorgan Centre Art & Design Technology
Position Held: part-time lecturer in AVCE Art & Design and BTEC Fashion & Design, which included
teaching the following subjects:
Computer Aided Design / dye properties and processes / fabric properties and processes / knitting /
crochet / writing session plans for each lesson / conducting tutorials / assisting with business and
contextual studies.
2002 Rhondda College
Position Held: part-time lecturer in City & Guilds, which included teaching the following subjects:
Embroidery, fabric processes such as weaving, tufting and collage and preparing work for presentation.
2002 British Broadcasting Company of Wales [Cardiff]
Working as a freelance designer making one-off knitted prop for the program 'Week in Week Out.'
1999 Celtic New Year Project[Cardiff]
Worked as part of a team in designing and creating an interior overhaul of the National Museum of Wales
for the 1999 Rugby World Cup and opening of the Millenium Stadium (in collaboration with the Welsh
College of Music & Drama)
1999 Attic 2 [Cardiff]
Supporting Welsh Woman of the Year and Habitat Designer Angela Gidden launch her second furniture
collection in Cardiff Bay, by designing and making sculptural textile accessories.
1999 Welsh National Opera [Cardiff]
Work experience in the Props department working on a production of 'Peter Grimes' directed by
Hollywood producer Peter Stein. Duties included making a replica of a 7ft yacht sail, dyeing 4,35ft fishing
nets, repairing and painting scenery and working in the costume department. Other work included
repairing props for other productions such as 'La Boheme.'
1995 - 1999 Prowler Promotions
Due to the decline of live music in the Valleys I started up Prowler Promotions to give artists the
opportunity to play venues in their local public house/clubs or further a field.
It was successful for four years providing bands of all ages with playing events such as the 'Legendary
TJs' in Newport.
1998 'A Day for Jasmin'
Organised and co-ordinated a charity event in which collaboration with senior club members on a
weekly basis, arranged sponsors, entertainers [circus act, artists, pop quiz and raffles]. This was a one-day
event that raised £500.
1984 - 1988 Little People
Whilst a stay-at-home mother I started knitting sweaters for my children. Parents started to get
interested in my knitting, of which this opportunity evolved into 'Little People.'
